Hello All,

We never know what to expect in the Ohio Valley!!

Practice for tomorrow night and Saturday's competition are cancelled. We will try and pick up another local competition at a later date.

(All info on tournament games is subject to change, please be patient. We will give you info as soon as we get it) Monday is the first tournament game for the boy's team at Shawnee right after school. Wear your new uniform. The cheerleaders will ride the bus to the game and need to be picked up at 5:20-5:30. The girl's team first tournament game is on Wednesday at 6:15 at Male. Angela is checking with the gym to see if we can move practice to Thursday.

Mr. Rose will be looking at grades on Tuesday's pink sheet to determine ineligible cheerleaders.

Hello All,

Please bring your basket money and tickets on Tuesday! I still need money and tickets from 7 seven cheerleaders.

Drivers for this week are: Tuesday- Vicki Hammond (7), Tonia Bishop (6) Need more drivers. Wednesday - Trenda Metcalf (6), William Davis (5) need more drivers.

These are the dates we still need drivers.....

Registration fees ($50) need to be paid on Wednesday, if you are going to Chicago and haven't already turned it in. We should know who is eligible and able to compete.

Don't forget to mark the extra practices - January 30, 6:30 - 9:00 and February 6, 6:30 - 9:00. These are MANDATORY! No exceptions!

Updates

Hello All,

If you sold tickets for the basket, please turn in on Tuesday. I only received tickets from 6 people today. I will hold the drawing on Tuesday provided everyone turns in their tickets. If you want to send the tickets to practice, send a check made out to Tammy Albers for the amount you collected. I would prefer not to have a cheerleader responsible for cash money.

1/27 any ineligible cheerleader will be removed from the team. The team will be competing in Chicago on February 20-22, $50 registration fee due ASAP if you have not already paid. We will be sending out information on hotel registration as soon as we confirm the number of rooms we need.

We will hold extra practices on Friday, January 30th and February 7th from 6:30-9:00. This is MANDATORY. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Tuesday, January 20th

Parents,

We are going to have a OPTIONAL meeting on Tuesday for all parents at 5:30. We need to discuss upcoming competition options we are going to need to look at with the grade restrictions Mr. Rose has set.

We would like to have one parent present for each cheerleader. If you are not there, you do not have a voice in the decision making process. If you are not going to be there, we will send home a note with your child.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Hello All,

Mr. Rose brought to our attention Thursday night his concerns over repeated grade issues and our upcoming competition schedule. The cheerleaders who have been ineligible have been given multiple weeks to bring their grades up. Mr. Rose has decided that any cheerleader who is ineligible with a "D" or "U" based on their January 27th pink sheet will not be allowed to dress or cheer at district games or attend any competition. The rest of the team will then move forward with practice and attend competitions.

After January 27th, any cheerleader who is ineligible based on their pink sheet will not dress or cheer at district games but will be allowed to compete because of time needed to change the routine and the hardship it would place on the rest of the team.

We have contacted Cindy and Tara about this decision and the gym is fully prepared to help us in any way possible. We will be adding extra practices as competitions get closer.

Please discuss this with your cheerleader and stress the importance of getting good grades all the time, but especially during the next few weeks.

Hello All,

A form from Cheersport came home today with your cheerleader, please make sure you complete and return it tomorrow with your payment of $149.00.

Our game this week is at Male, but is a home game for Barrett. We will not be responsible for running the concession stand.

Our upcoming competitions are scheduled for January 31, February 7 and February 13-15. We are stil looking for one more local competition to attend. We will let you know arrival and competition times as the dates get closer.
